Best Practices: Checkout Process

The following is a checkout process that was created for an online retailer and then modified to be part of a library of reference schematics. The intention was to create a checkout flow that could be easily reused and adapted for any retailer's needs, thereby eliminating inefficienciesand the need to create duplicate work across multiple projects. This checkout process deliberately represents the most complicated set of business requirements so that the system can degrade gracefully.
